About Us
I have worked in private practice for about twenty years. This was mainly because I felt that I wanted to express myself through my work. Initially in a way that I could not do in the private, public or voluntary sector. l have developed and been able to put support systems in place which allow my practice to be linked in and supported by my peers and other professional colleagues. I have always wanted to use physical health interventions to facilitate my patients journey through their rehabilitation.
I am a keen sports person myself having played golf competitively for more than thirty years now. I played cricket for the same club for twenty three years, thirteen years as captain.
I work as a sole therapist which means that you won't get asked to be seen by one of my colleagues. This gives my patients the continuity of treatment that they need. I am keen to learn from my work and value every patients unique story and presentation.
I have long believed in using physical modalities to affect someone's physical condition where necessary. Western cultures have taught the public to be very dependent on pharmacological interventions as a first line of treatment. This has taught many of us to develop a dependency on drugs for cures and treatments. My goal has always been to try to offer physical alternatives and to avoid where possible the need for a drug based treatment programme as the only alternative. My goal has always been to keep the patient in the forefront of any techniques and treatments at all times. Ensuring they are paramount in any intervention so that they understand what is going on and why they are undertaking a particular treatment at all times.
